Merry Christmas!!

Confused choppy water of St. Philips today. Not quite the NW wind I was expecting but a nice relaxing paddle for Christmas eve.

Snow clouds

I was actually kinda surprised to run in to anyone down here today. Sean, Tony, dean and  Alex were out enjoying the day. Instead of paddling down the shoreline to the waterfall I decided to hang around do a few rolls, fail on a couple, attempt to fix my foot pegs standing in the surf (not a great idea) and had a pretty relaxing day. Sean's Greenland kayak really got me wanting to start building. Maybe in the new year.

From myself and my family Merry Christmas to all who follow along on my journeys!! I don't have any trip planned for tomorrow...but boxing day is already booked!

Enjoy the time with family and friends. All the best!!

  5. glad to see you out in the cove with us yesterday...

Unlike Sean, I have only built the one kayak (SOF)but can offer help/advice where possible based on that experience. I do offer this though - pay attention to any joints in the stringers!!!

Hope everybody is having a Merry Christmas today... I am smelling the turkey cooking upstairs....
